2018 ASPOA ROADS REPORT

Apache Shores contains 20 miles of roads. These are public, county-owned roads (not privately owned by ASPOA). Travis County has committed to paving and maintaining just over half of these miles. ASPOA struggles to fund needed repairs to the half that are not maintained by the county–those that tend to be the most poorly engineered at origin, and will not meet today’s county requirements for construction, drainage, width, visibility, etc. Despite the financial and physical challenges, ASPOA has funded a Road Improvement Program since 2004. During these years, ASPOA has spent nearly One Million Dollars improving our roads where the county would not.

Roads paved or patched all or part in 2018 are Red Feather, Sharps, Saskatchwan, Big Horn, Yellow Bird, Nachez, Eagle Point, Crazyhorse, Broken Bow and Little Beaver.
